Along with my Blackfire order from Detailed Image I got some Dodo Juice Supernatural as well. I applied some on my C5 Z06 and wow, this stuff is fantastic! I only got a sampler because no sense is buying two premium waxes in one week! (yes! I did finally order Swissvax Concorso) Anyways, Here is my review on Autopia.org. Blackfire has this to say about their kits "This kit is the culmination of a 15 year quest for the ultimate shine, a shine I call Wet-Ice over Fire. This shine has a liquid wetness on the surface yet still allows the depth and energy of the paint to radiate through."

With that description I decided to try this kit out on my wife's car because my wife prefers the look and protections that sealants offer.

Prima Car Care's Hydro

A while back ago I was searching for a wax for my dad to use on his truck (F150 Harley Davidson) and I stumbled on a post from Autopia.org talking about Hydro's ease of use as well as its ability to fill in minor swirls. So I found out that Prima is local (well Denver) to me and picked up some Hydro. Well I can honestly say that this stuff is bad ass! It's a wax as you dry product that leaves fantastic results! After washing the vehicle rinse the soap and while the car is still wet, mist Hydro on the panels and wipe away! After the car is dry buff it with a microfiber cloth, and admire! The next day is when this stuff begins to shine!

Greatest use of construction barrels EVAR!

Basically some guy in NC did this and is now in trouble. You can read about it here, I feel bad for the guy but I guess he can say it was worth it!

Here is my wife's detailed g35 coupe, in this photo the car was polished by SIP, NANO, RMG, and topped with Natty's Blue. I don't have any pictures or a write up of the process, but I am in the middle of doing some tests with Blackfire Products, so stay tuned!

This is my wife's daily driver; I did this detail using several products some of which are as follows: PC with megs 83 with lc orange pad
PC with m09 with white pad
PC with m07 show car glaze (to protect new paint)
PC to put 2 coats of nxt 2.0 for protection

Ford Expedition Detail write up

As you can see from the pictures the SUV started in a piss poor state, but I brought it to about 90% which is all I need considering its a Daily Driver and will get minor swirls which would drive me crazy to upkeep

Well I started this blog to document my pursuit for the "perfect shine" on my cars.
To me the perfect shine is paint that looks like it is a mile deep, has perfect reflection, and has a "wet" shimmering look to it. My wife who is completely understanding of my obsession enjoys the fruits of my labor on two of her vehicles. Her 2004 Ford Expedition, and her 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe. My ride is a 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, which I just purchased, but I am no stranger to detailing and black cars. Prior to the Corvette, I had two black mustangs and a red one.
